I have recently graduated from UAL: Wimbledon College of Arts.
My practice includes designing set and costume for stage and site-specific performance, construction, sewing and prop making, and I have an interest in stage managerial skills and dramaturgy. I’m also a lifelong crafter, with a collection of making experience ranging from crochet to goldsmithing.
I enjoy whimsy with a serious message, often using playful imagery to explore heavier subjects. I’m drawn to the idea of presenting a viewer with something hard to ignore and hope to have an impact that lasts beyond the performance space.
Sustainability is an important consideration in my process, I feel that a mindful use of materials can benefit all areas of design and that it’s crucial to be aware of our impact.
In 2023 I took two projects to the Prague Quadrennial (along with the projects’ respective collaborators,) performing for PQ Studio Stage with Memory Police and exhibiting in the National Gallery of Prague with Breadshop in the (Un)Common Design Project.
Prior to studying, I took part in many productions with my local community theatre group, including as a designer, director, and assistant producer.
